I completed my second-year BTS Sio SISR internship in the IT department at Savéol.
My internship achievements
During my internship at Savéol, I worked on several network administration and security tools. I used the Wallix bastion to manage secure access to IT equipment. I also helped set up monitoring with Centreon to supervise the network infrastructure. Finally, I contributed to the configuration of a VPN tunnel between two Peplink routers using a Starlink internet connection to securely connect two remote sites.
PARK MONITORING WITH CENTREON
Real-time supervision and monitoring
Using Centreon, I set up monitoring for the IT infrastructure to track the status of servers and network equipment. This enables rapid incident detection and ensures service continuity.
VPN TUNNEL WITH DDNS AND STARLINK
Secure connection between remote sites
I configured a VPN tunnel between two Peplink routers, using DDNS at both ends to connect two remote sites. The connection relies on Starlink, providing stable connectivity even in areas with limited traditional infrastructure.
WALLIX BASTION
Secure access management
The Wallix bastion allows controlling and securing access to sensitive systems. I participated in its configuration to manage privileged accounts and ensure full connection traceability, strengthening the infrastructure’s security.
